TERMITE INSPECTIONS

Termite Inspections are implemented into any Termite Management Program. Whether you have termites or not, it is most important that a Termite Inspection be carried out first to determine if your property has Termites and/or the risks involved.

A Termite Inspection is carried out to all accessible areas internally, externally, in roof voids, beneath subfloors and all surrounding structures, gardens and fences.

On completion we submit a written report determining Termite Activity, Termite Damage and the risks involved. We will also report on inaccessible areas and moisture problems which in combination provide susceptible areas for termite attack.

Recommendations are reported if treatments are necessary or if conducive areas need to be removed or replaced.

All recommended Termite Treatments will be quoted accordingly and all procedures be explained in normal terms. All treatments usually have multiple options depending on different products and costs.

Termite Inspections are necessary for every household or work place. For approximately $200 an Inspection could save you thousands of dollars in the future.

It is recommended all properties have a Termite Management Program installed if they haven’t had one installed in the last 5 years.

WHAT TERMITE TREATMENT IS BEST FOR ME?

Termite Soil Barrier Treatments

It is a liquid chemical barrier
Only a two stage treatment
Barrier is installed to all subfloor areas, external perimeter walls and filled concrete areas
Barrier last approximately 8-10 years
Only ongoing recommendations are 6-12 month Termite Inspections – this will depend on structure
Liquid chemicals create a barrier and can either repel or also kill the next depending on the product used
Installation of the barrier can be intrusive depending on accessibility and drilling filled concrete areas
Only one cost which will include initial termite inspection, two stage barrier installation and two follow up checks
Termite treatment costs – approximately $2000 to $5000 which will last 8-10 years with recommended annual termite inspections
Liquid termiticides – Bifenthrin, Fipronil and Imidacloprid

Termite Monitoring and Baiting Systems

It is a non-chemical termite system. It only affects termites and not humans, pets or environment.
It is a 12 month contract to be paid upfront and includes:-
Initial Termite Inspection to locate all termite activity
Installation of a monitoring system around the structure/home
Installation of termite baits to active areas
Regular monthly visits to monitor the system and add more bait accordingly
A second termite inspection within the 12 months
Ongoing costs for the next 12 months thereafter
Monitoring and baiting systems are usually non-intrustive
System, once installed, must be constantly monitored otherwise it is useless
This is not a barrier, but if installed properly can be monitored regularly
Costs include – initial termite inspection, installation of system, monthly monitoring visits, six month termite inspection and baits needed to eliminate colony.
This package costs approximately $2500 to $5000 and the ongoing costs are approximately $1000 each year thereafter
